Cryolight: Titan Voiceover (Draft 1)

It feels like a colorblind Earth.

All the bright blues turned a dark navy, the greens and greys a dusty mustard yellow. The clouds are still grey, but they don’t rain water on Titan.

The droplets are black and light, and the gravity is so low that as the rain fell onto your shoulders they wouldn’t break and scatter like water in the heavy gravity of earth… they would glide away, splitting as they hit your feet, sinking to the ground like an innumerable many marbles of cold black glass.

You’re light on Titan, so to thrust yourself forward you’d wedge your feet under the thin frozen layer of ice suspending you over a field of water crystal sand directly beneath. It’s like walking though crème brule.

Saturn is waving from a safe distance with the sideways tilt of its icy rings, you’re on the equator, perceptually ten times the size of how our own moon appears in the sky.
